CHILD'S PLAY
by Melody

One day, Steve and Valerie were on a scouting mission. A seven year old little girl was watching them.
"Steve, I.. think we're being watched." Valerie groaned,
"Let's get the hell out of here!" Steve ordered, too late! The child caught them and put them in her basket.
"Wait 'til Daddy sees my dollies I caught!" she sang. In the basket, Valerie passes out.
"Valerie! Wake up dammit!!" Steve yelled while shaking her.
"Daddy, daddy, look at what I caught!" the girl chimed, her father looked in the basket and exclaimed,
"My, my, you caught some little people, sweetie."
"Can I keep them, daddy?" the child asked,
"I don't know, Ashley, they're probably missing their friends." said her father.
"Can I keep 'em for a little while? Pleease daddy," the child pleaded,
"Ok, honey but you'll need to protect them from Kitty, She might eat them you know." her father warned.
So Ashley took them to her room and put them in her dollhouse.
"What's your name?" she asked,
"Steve Burton." Steve answered.
"I'm Ashley Davis." said Ashley, "and who's your wife?"
"She's Valerie Ames Scott and she ain't my wife!" Steve huffed.
"Oooh sorry.' said Ashley, then Valerie wakes up.
"Steve..what..uh.." she uttered.
"Hi, Valerie, I'm Ashley Davis." chimed Ashley.
"Nice to meet you..um I think-" Valerie stamered.
"I got an idea, maybe you and Valerie can get married, Steve. I can plan your wedding!" said Ashley.
"W-Wedding??" cried Valerie,
"Us?? Get married?? Now that's an understatement!" blurted Steve.
"Oh boy!" chimed Ashley, "Daddy, Steve and Valerie are getting married!"
"Steve and Valerie?? is that their real names or did you just name them?" asked father,
"That's their real names daddy. I'm gonna plan the biggest wedding for them ever!"
"My, my." said father.
Meanwhile in the dollhouse, Steve plans the escape.
"Valerie, we gotta get the hell out of here or she'll throw us a shotgun wedding!" he said,
just then a giant cat comes in the room.
"Steeeeeeeve!" Valerie screamed,
"We're toast." Steve panicked.
Ashley came in and scolded, "Bad Kitty! Get out! Scoot scoot!"
Steve and Valerie were relieved but not quite out of the woods yet, their wedding was about to be planned.

Back at camp, Fitzhugh was eating potato chips when Betty interupted.
"Has anybody seen Steve and Valerie lately?" she asked,
"They were out scouting the last I heard," said Dan,
"We gotta find them," said Mark. So Dan got a search party going to look for Steve and Valerie.
Steve and Valerie were trapped in Ashley's doll house still and Steve began to pace.
"We got to get the hell out of here before that damn wedding starts!" he complained,
"But Steve there's no way out of the dollhouse!" Valerie cried,
"I think those doll clothes gives me an idea for a rope." Steve grinned, "help me tie these together."
So Steve and Valerie tied the clothes together and tied one end of the "rope to the dollhouse window. Steve climbed down the rope. Then Ashley came in.
"Steve, Valerie! Where are you going?? the wedding's about to start!"
"Sorry, Ash, but we need to get back to our friends, ok?" said Steve.
"But-" Ashle said but Valerie cut in,
"Ashley, our friends are worried about us, as much as we'd like to play wedding with you we need to get back to them."
"Okay," Ashley sighed,
"Don't worry, we'll see you again soon," Steve reassured.
So Ashley took Steve and Valerie and put the back where they came. They said their goodbyes and Dan and the others were happy to see Steve and Valerie.
